Perfect! Highly recommended. I know where to stay next time I am in Bogota.
I loved this hostel, I ended up going back another two times! The place is very modern and clean. There is something nice about the white bed sheets and beds, and white walls. I stayed in the six bed dorm and that is upstairs and has a window with a view. Then I stayed in the 10 bed dorm and does not have a window so it can get a bit stuffy, but it is located on the ground floor so you do not have to walk up the stairs. It does have a skylight though so you get natural light coming in. Downstairs, the toilet and shower are in separate rooms, but upstairs you have it all in one and it is spacious. The kitchen is so well-equipped. It even has an electric kettle which is somewhat extremely rare in Colombia. Pancakes and fruit at breakfast are delicious, though the second time I was there I just got toast (maybe they ran out of pancake ingredients, I do not know...) but then the third time there were pancakes and fruit again. Yay! Staff are very helpful and friendly. I had to go to the airport on the day of a student protest and the staff kept me informed the day before and on the day up to the moment I had to leave. Location is good. It is not too far from Corferias transmilenio station, which is about 20 minutes from the airport (excluding waiting time and if you need to change at Portal El Dorado). It is on a very quiet street, in the suburbs so you have to catch the Transmilenio to go to the old town centre. I still gave the location 10/10 because although you have to catch transport to go to into town, I felt really safe here (I stayed one night in La Candelaria and I was warned to stay away from some parts of town at night). There is a supermarket nearby, and I enjoyed walking around Palermo which is a suburb about 30 minutes walk. When I go back to Bogota someday, I know where to stay. Great value for money too! Oh, you can pay with credit card without a surcharge.
To add the finishing touch, a complimentary towel would be perfect! Depending on when you get up and have breakfast, if there is a long queue, you might have to wait 30 minutes or so as the pancakes are cooked fresh. A clothesline outside would be nice. Not sure if there is a designated quiet hour, but there was a group talking loudly in the kitchen until midnight, so I found it a bit hard to sleep at 11pm.
